Why can some washed garments become dry and tear easily when stored for a long time?
This comes from the wash process, which uses multiple steps and agents to create the signature color and effect.
When stored improperly – especially in humid conditions or sealed in a bag/wrap for too long – trapped moisture can cause oxidation. For cotton, this weakens the fibers, making them dry and brittle over time if the fabric cannot “breathe” in a well-ventilated space.
Best way to care for it:
After purchase, take the item out of its bag and hang it in a dry, well-ventilated place.
We encourage wearing the piece often – regular wear and natural air circulation help keep the fabric in its best condition.
